Addressing the root cause

Working with me involves digging deep into your symptoms, and really asking “why” they are manifesting.

We don’t just put a bandaid on your symptoms. We will ask why, why, why, until we can’t ask anymore.

Then we support the areas of your body with the right foods and nutrients that you need to function optimally.

Identify deficiencies and imbalances

By looking into your symptoms and using bespoke testing technqiues.

Tap into your body's innate intelligence

Using the Nutritional Therapy Association’s unique Functional Evaluation, we will ask the body exactly which organs and symptoms need support.

Support with specific nutrients

Using the Functional Evaluation we will test which nutrients your body requires.

My Approach

When it comes to health, one size DOES NOT fit all. While many of the things that make us human are the same, we are all individual.

Bio-individuality is about your unique genetic makeup. The support that your body needs is different to those of your best friend, and often even your family.

Understanding your history, goals and symptoms is critical in formulating a unique health plan that is tailored to you.

Before we begin

Before our first consult there are some important forms to complete. These give me a deep understanding of your bio-individual needs.

CLIENT HISTORY FORM

A series of questions about your history, family, food, and goals. Important for helping me understand YOU.

3-DAY FOOD JOURNAL

This tracks what you’re eating and when you eat it, as well as any digestive or other symptoms that result.

NUTRITIONAL ASSESSMENT QUESTIONNAIRE

A detailed online survey that assesses your symptoms and individual health picture.

Session structure

Initial consult

We discuss your concerns, set some goals and develop a tailored plan of attack. Don’t worry, I won’t overload you with information. This is about setting small, manageable goals that work for you.

Follow up sessions

I like to see my clients at least once a month for the first few months. Consistency is key to success. Of course, we will work around your life.

Food does matter

Everything that passes our lips has an impact on our body. We are a collection of atoms, that makes a collection of cells, tissues, organs, systems and ultimately a living organism. We must consume a range nutrients that allow our cells to perform their millions of complex functions.

Learn how nutrition affects every single cell in this hand out.

The delicate balance of nutrients in our body can easily become disrupted and this can manifest in severe symptoms. Nutrient imbalances affect every facet of our being: energy, mental health, sleep, fitness, weight, immunity, gut health, skin and any other function your body needs to perform. Nutritional therapy is about identifying potential imbalances and using food to correct these.

Work with your subconscious mind

Did you know that 95% of our mind is the subconscious? It controls all our bodily functions, long term memories and all our automatic thought patterns. Our subconscious mind forms patterns, usually before we reach the age of seven. Childhood traumas, no matter how small, can imbed patterns deep into our minds that then shape our thoughts, and therefore our behaviours.

If your subconscious mind has an ingrained belief that does not support your long term health goals, then you are fighting a losing battle. We need our subconscious mind to be on our team. Psyche-K is a unique method for shifting limiting beliefs that are holding you back from reaching your health goal. I am certified to help my clients use this unparalleled tool to support your nutritional goals.

Why our ancestors would not recognise today’s “food”

Why our ancestors would not recognise today’s “food”

Today the western diet bears little resemblance to what our bodies have evolved to eat. While we might like to think of ourselves as completely different to our ancestors of 40,000 years ago, the truth is 99.9% of our genetics are the same! Of course our intelligence...
